Wedding Planning for the Beach

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jim_Vint]Jim Vint
A marvelous ocean sunset, golden sand, the sound of the waves breaking on the shore, the vows are being spoken by you and your beloved in the nature's most charming setting - the beach. It's not a dream! A beach wedding is one of the most romantic, memorable and unique variants of the ceremony, which offers plenty of options. You just need to start planning. Here are some basic ideas related to a beach wedding.
Guests
It's up to you to decide how many people to invite. A warm and intimate ceremony with fewer guests gives more freedom and flexibility in planning. A traditional large wedding with all the relatives and friends invited is a great fun, especially at the beach.
Budget
This point depends on your financial situation. A large budget allows you to hold the ceremony on some exotic island or to rent a private beach. A tight budget requires your imagination and creativity. You can find a secluded place even at a public beach. But make sure guests know how to find the venue.
Time
It's extremely romantic to tie the knot at sunset, when holidaymakers have left the beach, giving you privacy, and soft sunbeams are lighting your happy faces, while you are saying "I do". Mornings are beautiful as well. It's not hot yet, the beach is empty and the light is perfect for photography. During the day you should remember about the tides, as they change and can interfere with the proceedings.
Weather
Of course, you can't control Mother Nature, so you should consider its variability. Try to find a place that is protected from the wind. Think over an alternate location in case of inclement weather. If there are no nearby facilities, a tent will be the best way out.
Decorating
The beach scenery is alluring itself, so you can keep the decorations to a minimum. An aisle way of indigenous flowers is always wonderful. If you are going to rent a floor and use chairs (it is actually preferable if there are elderly or disabled guests), you can decorate them with marine-themed items, such as seashells, starfish, miniature anchors, boats, oars. Don't forget about the lighting, if you are planning to celebrate till the night. Torches or candles will create warm and friendly atmosphere.
Music and Natural Sounds
You may not need a sound system, as it often drowns out you vows and the guests can hardly hear anything. The wind, waves and birds perform wonderful background music. But portable instruments are quite popular. A flute, violin, saxophone or guitar will harmonize with the ocean noise and add spice to the ceremony.
Arrival
The bride and groom have lots of unusual options for their arrival. Instead of the traditional limousine you can surprise your guests arriving by boat, canoe, yacht or landing on the sand in a helicopter.
Are you still dreaming? Start sending out your message-in-the-bottle invitations and enjoy the happiest day of your life at the coastline!

Finding Those Perfect Summer Wedding Flowers

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Uchenna_Rodger_Ani-Okoye]Uchenna Rodger Ani-Okoye
While seasons of the year, such as spring, the fall and even the winter period, have all seem to have increased in popularity as the perfect time for people to have their wedding, the summer period has for a very long time, and probably will always be, the time that is most preferred for people to have their wedding.
From the beauty of those late summer weddings to the elegant of a June wedding, summer is the best time for you to have your wedding, and choosing the right flowers for your summer wedding can be one of the most enjoyable aspects of your wedding preparation.
Summer wedding flowers tend to be beautiful and vibrant
The number of vibrant, bright and beautiful flowers for summer weddings that are available is one of the main advantages that this season has over all the others, and whether you are more interested in the vibrant colours of the rose, tulip or any other flowers, or possibly the carnations, there is certainly a flower type that is able to meet your demands.
Purchase your summer flowers early
Of course, to ensure that you acquire the best possible flowers for your summer wedding, it's best that you begin shopping as early as you can, and keep in mind the fact that your wedding will be one of many weddings that will be taking place during the same period.
Florists that specialise in weddings will likely be very busy during the summer, which is why it's in your best interest to order your summer wedding flowers as soon as you can, so that there are no disappointments come wedding day.
Using a florist with experience has benefits
It is also best for you to look for a florist that has a lot of experience working with weddings. Though there are many florists out there, not every one of them will have experience working with weddings, so it's in your best interest to seek out the experienced florists.
The vast majority of wedding florists should have a portfolio of all the weddings they have tackled in the past, and they should be more than happy to share their work with you.
Not only will you be able to get a clear idea of the florist's skills from looking at his or her past work, but you may also be able to generate your own ideas from them. Choosing the right flowers for your wedding is extremely important.

Lilac flowers are the embodiment of spring. You can use these flowers to make some of the most beautiful bridal bouquets and floral arrangements. When choosing the flowers for your wedding, you may want to think about including these unique flowers in your spring wedding.
The lilac typically blooms during the early period of the spring season. They stick around throughout all of the spring and the summer. More and more people are opting to use this flower for their weddings because of their beautiful colours, nice fragrance and easy ability to incorporate into your wedding dcor.
They are most ideal for corsages, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres and flowers for the guest that comes to the wedding reception. These flowers are very beautiful by themselves but also look nice when paired up with other flower types.
They are usually in a purple colour. However, it's also possible for you to get a hold of white lilac flowers. Just be sure to consult a florist to determine whether or not the flower will be available during the period of time that you intend to get married; if you have intensions of having an outdoor wedding, that you should consider arranging the wedding ceremony around the period that those specific flowers will be in bloom. These lilac bushes are very appealing and compliment outdoor weddings very well, especially when properly arranged.
You can use lilacs for a variety of things for your wedding. Looking at various pictures should be enough to help you put together some ideas for their usage during your wedding. Since lilacs usually come in lavender or purple in colour, brides and grooms that opt to have this at their wedding tend to stick with these colours for the entire theme of the ceremony. When these flowers are paired up with other flowers, the possibilities that open up to you are simply endless.

Wedding Magicians - Four Things To Keep In Mind When You Engage One

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Duane_Douglas]Duane Douglas
Hiring the right entertainer for your wedding can be confusing - after all, how many times do you do it? Most brides and grooms don't have a lot of experience with this decision. Here are some tips that should help you find and utilize the talents of the right wedding entertainer for your reception:
1. Hire a real professional. I mean someone with experience as a wedding entertainer, not a kiddie-show magician, and certainly not your friend's buddy who "knows some tricks."
Seriously, nothing can embarrass your guests like an amateur fumbling with some lame trick. A professional wedding magician, on the other hand, can bring people together with amazing magic that will not only amuse them, but have them sharing a sense of wonder which will make your wedding one magical, memorable occasion.
A professional will know how to interact with the band, DJ, photographer, and especially your family and the other guests. He will make your event run more smoothly, and you will be glad you made the right decision.
2. As tempting as it might be to do so, don't insist that the magician perform the entire time. For instance, while the band is playing loud, or most people are on the dance floor and the party is hopping, the magician would have to shout to perform his magic. This is annoying to the guests, and kills the atmosphere.
On the other hand, a close-up magic performer can make a huge impression at the right moments. For example:

When the bride and groom are busy taking pictures and are unavailable to most guests.
Before the band begins to play, when people are being introduced to each other.
During the band's breaks.
During any lull at all in the flow of the evening.

3. A wedding magician can be very useful as more than simply a performer of magic. You will find that a really good entertainer, with a lot of experience, can be of help as:

An event coordinator
An announcer
As a wedding motivator
A great distraction from any uncomfortable situation that may possibly arise. (Don't you wish there was somebody to do that at your friend's wedding when the bride's uncle and aunt caused that scene?)

4. Don't forget that one of the biggest advantages of having a magician at your wedding is that he will be the best ice-breaker you could ever wish for. As your guests share in the magic, they will be talking about it with each other all through the party, and telling the others about this "great trick" they saw. They will also be reminiscing about it for a long time to come.

Creating Beautiful Royal Purple Wedding Flowers

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Uchenna_Rodger_Ani-Okoye]Uchenna Rodger Ani-Okoye
A friend of mine chose to go with royal purple as the primary colour for her wedding theme. So when it comes to the various flowers that are in that particular colour, I had to recommend to her the petunias. The colour of these flowers along with lavender lilacs in silk tends to make an awesome combination for bridal bouquets.
It's very simple to grow these flowers. You will need at least a couple of months to go before wedding day, and an area in the sun where you can grow at least 30 of these planets. If you have your own patch of land, then this isn't a bad idea, because when finished, it can be rather fulfilling, and significantly cheaper than hiring a florist to carry out the flower arrangements on your behalf.
It's incredibly easy for you to plant these particular flowers in pots, which you can then use to decorate the tables at your wedding reception.
For my friend's wedding, they were planted in metal pails, with a purple ribbon used to tie them around the pail for a nice effect. On white table clothes they had a very dreamy appearance to them.
In order to get those particular flowers all ready to go for the wedding, which was to take place in July, I had to buy them during the early part of spring, during a period when all the plants at the plant store were in season. From experience I have found that planets that are purchased from reputable plant nurseries tend to do best.
You can get petunias in a number of shades, from royal purple to pinks. They are very appealing to look out, especially when grouped together in stacks of three or more.
Small aluminium pails are to be purchased from your local craft store, which you can use to put the flowers into.
Because there were 25 guest tables, 30 of them were required, and I wanted to purchase a few spare which I would use on the main table. Either pail had about 3 plants in them. So I had to purchase quite a few petunias. When the dead blooms were cut off every third day I found that the Pentiums tended to grow best. It encourages them to produce more blooms. In order to achieve the desired look, it's also possible for you to snip off a few branches here and there.
Make sure the dead blooms are severed at the stem. Which means you shouldn't pull them off. This is because the potential seed pod will stay behind if you use such untactful measures.

Some Methods You Can Use To Put Flowers on the Wedding Cake

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Uchenna_Rodger_Ani-Okoye]Uchenna Rodger Ani-Okoye
An excellent method that you can use to coordinate the wedding cake with the overall theme of your wedding is to deck it with flowers.
Here are a number of easy yet effective methods that you can use to suitable place flowers on your wedding cake.
a) Flower topper: This process basically entails either yourself or a hired florist arranging some flowers into groups, these flowers are typically of the same colour and type that you would find on the bridal bouquet. This method is incredibly easy for you to take advantage of, your only task would be to arrange them into little groups which you can do using a plastic base.
b) Rose sandwich: this is basically when you place a rose between the tiers of each cake. The cake for the wedding is typically build on thin pillars and then tiered with a gap that measures around 1 of an inch between each tier. You or your florist can then use this space to place roses which have been taped and cut to around 2 inches in length. One thing that you should be sure of is that the roses are packed tightly and are lushly laid with the wedding cake so that gaps are not showing.
c) Flower trail: this is essentially a flowing line made up of flowers that trails down the wedding cake. This particular method is most ideal for cakes that are specific tiered on top of one another. To begin, you must wire each flower head individually. Then group a few of these heads together, then secure and tape the top of the by, by pushing the wire stems which have been taped gently into the cake. Then you can begin to work your way down the cake pushing the heads of flowers in. In order to create some kind of strong band, you should consider placing the heads of the flowers closer together.
d) Linked flower toppers: if there is a gap present between the tiers of your wedding cake and an arrangement of flowers on each tier, then it's very easy for you to link each of them together. Simply take a couple of stems of steel grass, and then use that in order to link the floral arrangements together.
One thing that you shouldn't forget is that both foliages and flowers are not suitable for you to use on your wedding cake as they can contain poisons. Ivy being a good example, if you are unsure, then it's best you consult a florist or the cake designer.

Use the Right Flowers to Make Your Wedding Day Most Ideal

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Uchenna_Rodger_Ani-Okoye]Uchenna Rodger Ani-Okoye
Since your wedding day is prepped to be one of the biggest and most important events of your entire life, then you will want to ensure that every aspect of it works and runs perfectly. The flowers that are used are a pivotal component of the ceremony and reception. You will need wedding flowers for the bridesmaids, wedding venue, groomsmen and also bouquets. Most brides out there opt to go with authentic flowers; this is because of the nice fragrance that they leave behind, while others choose to invest in flowers made from silk, because they tend to be considerably cheaper. Regardless of which you settle on, you should be able to make the wedding as special as you want it.
The bouquet that is chosen should complement the bridal gown. Depending entirely on your budget for the wedding, you may decide to go with specific flowers that have some significant and meaning to your partners. Perhaps your partner gave your certain flowers on your first date and as a result you would like to have them in the bouquet. You may also want your favourite flower to be in there also. It's possible for you to create your bouquet using flowers that you most enjoy. Another thing that you should keep in mind is that it's best for you to use flowers that grow in your local area. If they are easier for you to acquire, then it's likely that they will not be as expensive; this ultimately heightens the chances of you buying the type of flower that you want.
The main flowers which you are to use for your bouquet should also be used for the bridesmaids. It always looks nice when the bridesmaids carry a smaller bouquet which features flowers that you have personally chosen. The bouquet for the bride should always be flamboyant and elaborate. If you would like the bridesmaids to have bouquets made up of silk flowers and the brides made from real flowers, there should be no problem with that. The bridesmaid may also adorn the wedding cake using their bouquets in order to enhance the setting that the cake is resting on.
The flowers that are chosen for the wedding day are very important, which is why the bride should make plans as she sees fit, this will ensure that they are as simple or as elaborate as she wants them to be.

A Winter Wedding: Is It For Me?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Graeme_Knights]Graeme Knights
Few things are more beautiful and magical than a winter wedding. The summer season is filled with the stereotypical "dream wedding," but it's easy to overlook the options and individuality of a winter wedding. Let's take a look at how a winter wedding can make your big day one to remember for the ages.
Why a winter wedding?
There are several reasons you might opt to have your special day during the winter. The most simple reasons? Perhaps you or your sweetie don't like the heat. Or maybe winter is your favorite time of year. Perhaps you just want to stand out from the crowd. Or maybe you want to fully appreciate a honeymoon in a warm climate.
On a more practical note, some venues reduce their prices during the off-season to bring in more business. Remember too that some places routinely decorate for the holidays; this allows you to spend less on flowers and rentals. And with all that snow - just imagine the photo opportunities! You could get so creative with the right photographer, from cuddly fur stoles to cozy boots under your wedding dress to a smooch under the mistletoe.
How is a winter wedding different from a summer wedding?
Many times winter weddings are less costly because it's the off-season. And you won't have to worry about poor weather ruining your outdoor event. However, many people travel during the winter holidays or head south for vacations, so you'll have to inform your guests a lot earlier so they can reserve the date.
How can winter elements help make your wedding magical?
There are several ways that you can use winter to your advantage. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
1. Many reception halls, churches, and other venues decorate for the winter holidays. These decorations add flavor to your wedding. For a warm, intimate feel at the reception, look for a setting with a fireplace, a historic mansion, or a private club. Other winter-themed decorations to consider: an all-white cake with silver snowflakes; ice or sugar sculptures; or centerpieces made of sprigs of cranberries surrounding pillar candles.
2. A good photographer will have lots of ideas for poses and props that insert a dash of winter. For instance, outdoor photos will require you to wear a wrap or shrug. You can coordinate this with your groom's attire and huddle against him under a snow-covered pine for a unique, everlasting portrait. Skilled photographers will be able to capture the sparkling white snow while portraying you and your groom at your best. Other possible props include ice sculptures, holiday decor such as poinsettias, or cute boots sticking out from under your dress.
3. Guests can be enveloped in winter warmth by being greeted at the reception with gourmet hot chocolate or spiced wine and dining on warm pumpkin soup, among other winter dishes. Possible party favors include spiced hot chocolate mix, snow globes, or dressed-up holiday cookie cutters.
Winter weddings offer the best of both worlds: tons of options from which to choose, and lower pricing for it all. If you're dreaming of your big day but haven't chosen a date yet, be sure to give the winter season some serious consideration and book that wedding photographer!

How to Interview a Wedding Vendor

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ross_D_Taylor]Ross D Taylor
You wedding is undoubtedly the most important day of your life. It is the one, single day where there is no room for mistakes. As such, you take extra special care to choose the people who will be responsible for the success, or failure, of your wedding. These people are your wedding vendors and finding vendors that can work within your budget to create your vision of your special day is key to enjoying your celebration.
Wedding vendors are varied in both their styles and their experience. Therefore it's important to ensure you choose exactly the right wedding vendor for each of your services based upon your budget, and the style of your wedding. Interviewing each vendor before selection is paramount to finding out which vendor is the right fit for you.
If you're unsure where to start, below are a few tips to help you get started with the interview process for your vendors. This is only the tip of the iceberg, but it will get the ball rolling nicely.
Preparation for the Interview: Whenever possible, bring photographs, diagrams, charts, whatever visual pieces you might have to give the wedding vendor a good idea of where your expectations lie. Also, be prepared with your budget numbers because it's useless to continue an interview with a vendor who is way outside your price range.
Be Realistic: Once you provide the wedding vendor with your expectations, it's time to do a reality check. Listen to what they have to say and what they can provide within your price range. You may have your heart set on hydrangeas, but it just may not be possible within your price range. You will have to make decisions based upon what you can afford.
Research your Vendors Before the Interview: It's really pointless to meet with a vendor who cannot provide the type or style of service you're interested in. For example, if you're really seeking a videographer that provides journalistic and artistic photography, you probably want to avoid   rel=nofollow [http://www.reb6studios.com]wedding videographers who bill themselves as traditional wedding photographers.
Don't Be Shy - Ask Questions: This tip goes hand and hand with preparation. It's in your best interest to write down any questions you might have after researching a particular wedding vendor. During the interview, if something isn't clear to you, be sure and speak up and get clarification before you agree to something you will regret later!
Remember, these wedding vendors are professionals who have done this hundreds, if not thousands of times. They know what they're talking about so it makes it easy for them to glaze over things that you might not understand. Politely stop the conversation and ask your question so everything is clear to you before you move on to the next topic.
Read the Contract: You have no idea how many people just assume something is a standard contract and go ahead and sign on the dotted line before reading it. This could really cause problems in the long run. You need to know what you're signing before you sign it. Neglecting this can lead to messy situations later when it comes to payment schedules and contract cancellation clauses.
Take the extra ten minutes and read through the contract. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask your wedding vendor and don't be afraid to have your attorney take a glance through it before you sign it if you really come across something out of the ordinary.
Following these few simple steps when interviewing your wedding vendors will help ensure your wedding goes off without a hitch. Your diligence now can really help alleviate headaches and disappointment later.

Up and Away in Your Beautiful Balloon Themed Wedding

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Penny_Barletta]Penny Barletta
You've probably thought about using balloons as part of your wedding reception decorations, but why not go one step further and create a whole theme for your wedding around balloons. Hot air balloons have both the romance of old fashioned travel and adventures, while these days they are often brilliantly colored and just plain fun.
Jules Verne's book 'Around the World in Eighty Days"* could provide perfect inspiration for a fun, adventure based theme, with the hero's travels to exotic places during his journey giving you ideas for decor. Give each reception table the name of one of his stopping points (Egypt, India, Hong Kong, New York, amongst others) and decorate accordingly. The original book does not include a balloon at all, though there are trains, elephants, steam ships and even a sledge used for the epic journey. You may not want to go that far with your wedding day transport but you could have some fun with old fashioned style maps - age them by dipping them in tea - to let your guests know where they are sitting at the reception, and do the same for place cards and menus. If you really want to push the theme look at Victorian inspired suits for your groom's party, and give your bridesmaids pretty parasols, updos and long dresses.
For a modern take on ballooning use images of huge, brightly colored hot air balloons to inspire your wedding stationery, color scheme and decor. Strong contrasting colors in stripes or checks are often used and these can be repeated in your table linen and choices for bridesmaids' dresses. For the truly creative and adventurous find out how to make your own miniature hot air balloons (this might be a fun project for your husband to be) and fly them at the end of your celebrations for the grand finale. If things go well, the glimmer of flames floating through a still night would make a truly romantic end to the evening. Even if your balloons don't fly, the effort will be remembered by all your guests. If you are not up for this, paper lanterns, which are available in many different colors, will give the same effect and create a soft light around your dance floor.
Forget traditional balloon decorations and take your wedding experience to new heights.
*If you don't want to read the book there are plenty of movie versions to watch.
